Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater workshop at SAK!
The Upright Citizen's Brigade Touring Company will be performing 2 shows (7:30 and 9:30) here at SAK Comedy Lab on Friday, April 22, and they're also be teaching two long-form workshops, one on Friday April 22nd, the other on Saturday April 23. Both workshops will cover the same basic material, so if you can't make one, hopefully you can make the other. Spots are limited to 16 per workshop, and we're offering it to our casts and student base first before we open it up to the public. Registration can only be done in person (4th floor of 29 S Orange Ave, City Arts Factory) or by phone (407-648-0001) during our office hours of noon to 5, Tuesday through Friday. We take Visa, MasterCard, checks or cash. We won't be pre-registering, and all registrations are on a first come, first served basis.

NEW course - "Off Tha' Dome" Freestyle rap workshop
SAK will be offering an exciting new class this April that combines improv and music. Making up a rap song on-the-spot is the ultimate form of self expression and performance. Join MC Thinker St.James and SAK performer Richard Regan Paul as they show you the ropes of Freestyle Rap. Take your improvisation skills to new, unprecedented levels. March - May class session info
Hello everyone!
Our next session of classes will start March 20 and run through May 15. Classes meet once a week for eight weeks, on Sundays, with some overflow classes occurring on weekday afternoons. Level One (beginning) and Level Two (intermediate) are 2 hour classes and cost $215 for the session. Levels Three and Four (advanced) are 3 hour classes and cost $265. Class descriptions are on our website (http://www.sak.com/). Class times and teachers for next session will be posted on this blog by Saturday, March 5th, and on our website soon after.
Registration will open at noon on Tuesday, March 8. We'll need a non-refundable deposit of $100 (for Levels One and Two) or $130 (Levels Three and Four) to secure your spot in the class. We take cash, check, Visa or MasterCard. You can call (407-648-0001) or come by the office (29 S Orange Ave, 4th floor, above the theater) between 11 and 5 to register. The office is closed Sunday/Mondays.
